Apple et Cinnamon

Apple with Cinnamon is a wonder combination. Be it as a pie or a milk shake. Here is a warm drink that is a great alternate to Hot Chocolate. It sure soothes your stomach and also good for Diabetics. Cinnamon is a wonder spice and it has been proved that it lowers blood glucose, especially in type 2 diabetes. Dr. Anderson discovered that cinnamon can improve the metabolism of glucose in fat cells twenty fold; by reducing the insulin resistance of fat cells - making their insulin receptors more responsive.































 Ingredients:
Milk - 2 cups
Apple - 1
Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
Sugar to taste

Method:
Bring the milk to a boil. Simmer for 7 minutes.
Peel and grate the apple. Add to simmering milk and cook for 3 minutes along with powdered cinnamon. Add sugar to taste (Diabetics can mix in Sugar Free / Natura / Splenda into their cups) and stir until dissolved.
Serve Hot with a sprinkling of cinnamon.
