Nut Butters - Peanut Butter (Home-made)

Peanut Butter - just the name makes me drool! I love PB and J sandwiches.

Nutrition - Peanut butter is an excellent source of protein and contain a lot of vitamin E, which is very good for your skin, and a powerful anti-oxidant. Peanuts also contain monounsaturated fats - the good kind.

Peanut butter is great in desserts, appetizers, main courses, beverages, or by itself as a spread.
It is VERY convenient. There is nothing easier than taking out a piece of bread and spreading on some peanut butter and jam to make a quick, healthy snack!

Ever since I found out that it was very easy to make I have brought home a packet of roasted peanuts (on each of my shopping trips) and either munched on it or have used it in other recipes. Finally the ingredients and me came together to make this delicious spread.

Peanuts - 2 cups, roasted and shelled
Sugar - 2 to 3 Tbsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Peanut Oil - 1 to 2 Tbsp

Use a jar that has a tiny cap opening at the top.
Take peanuts in a jar and pulse it until it is powdery.
Add in sugar and salt and run the mixer.
Now, add the oil in teaspoonfuls (as needed) in a thin stream from the opening on the top of the jar.
Scrape down the mass that collects at the top of the jar and run the mixer once again until it forms a mass (should be of a spreadable consistency).
Store in sterilized bottles in the refrigerator.
