Cornmeal "mini" Kozhukattai

After my first successful attempt and approval from the family for Cornmeal Kozhukattai, the next variation to try are these "mini" Kozhukattais. Ammini Kozhukattai's are a favourite snack and I proceeded similarly after drooling over this version. I made a simple seasoning as I was in a hurry. Next time I will definitely follow the recipe to the 't' for a crunchy Kozhukattai.

Corn Rava - 1/2 cup
Water - 1 cup
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Turmerric Powder - 1 pinch

For the Seasoning:
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 pinch
Urad Dal - 1 pinch
Red Chilli - 1, broken into bits (Chilli flakes is a good option)
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Coconut, grated - 3 Tbsp

Powder the Corn Rava in the mixer until you get a fine (rava) powder.
Bring a cup of water to a rolling boil. Add turmerric powder, butter and salt.
Add the cornmeal in a slow stream, stirring the water all the while.
Simmer until most of the water has been absorbed.
Cook covered until soft. Cool.
Make tiny sized marbles from the dough.
Steam it for 10 minutes until cooked through.
Heat oil in a Kadai and add mustard and urad dal.
Then add the asafoetida, curry leaves and chilli.
Mix in the Kozhukattai's and stir fry on high heat for a couple of minutes.
Switch off gas and add grated coconut.
Mix well and serve.
