Conjee - Rice Kanji with Vegetables
The Rice Kanji served at Isha Yoga Center is simply delicious. It is served at a specific program only. It keeps your body light and active. At home Amma likes to add Green chilli. We love having Kanji (or Fried Rice Kanji as it is known at home) as it is very comforting and a one pot dish. I like it warm. The best accompaniment would be Paruppu Thovayal or Milagai Vathal (More Milagai).

Plain Rice Rava for Uppuma is available in almost all the stores. There are some Special Uppuma Mix in the market which comes with the addition of Tur Dal, Peppercorns and Jeera. If using this variety, omit the pepper, fenugreek and jeera.
Arisi (Rice) Rava - 1/2 cup
Water - 2 to 3 cups
Mixed Vegetables - 1/2 cup, chopped
Salt to taste
Fenugreek - 4 grains
Jeera - 1/4 teaspoon
Green Chilli - 1, slit
Curds (OR) Thick Coconut Milk to serve
Take all the ingredients in a pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles.
Allow pressure to subside naturally and then open cooker. Remove the green chilli.
Mix in more water if required to get the right consistency.
Add Curds or Coconut milk and serve.
